Jo Quittschreiber
Vice President of Events
Kissimmee
|
I was born in Michigan and educated in Minnesota and North
Dakota. I married Gary, a graduate engineer and upon college
graduation, moved to Sacramento, California, where I taught Fourth
Grade. We lived in California for 10 years and then moved east to
Maryland. Gary and I have two grown children and three
grandchildren. We relocated to Florida (Osceola County) in 1994,
from the Washington DC area, upon Gary's retirement from the Nuclear
Regulatory Commission.
Throughout my life, I have worked and volunteered in educational
positions. I have volunteered in the classroom; served as PTA
President in the Middle and High School. Over the years I have taught
Sunday School and Bible School. My Real Estate career began in
Maryland when I joined Gary in becoming "week-end
investors". Their Real Estate Company thrived and a new
dimension in my life began.
Since moving to Florida, I have engaged in many political activities
on the grass roots level. I was Vice President and President of the
Greater Osceola Republican Women. For the past six years, I have
been the District 4 Representative for the Florida Republican Women's
Network. In 2004, I was a Delegate to the Republican National
Convention in New York City. In 2005, Leadership 1000 named me one
of the Most Outstanding Republican Leaders in Central Florida. I am
a Precinct Committeewoman with the Osceola County Republican Executive
Committee. In 2007, I received the Republican Women of the Year
award from OCREC. In 2008, I was appointed by Governor Charlie Crist,
to the Valencia College Board of Trustees. I also serve on the Board
of Directors for the Osceola Education Foundation. Currently, I am a
Vice President with the Florida Women's Political Network.
Upon moving to Florida, Gary and I have actively developed and
worked in expanding their rental real estate company. Our son, Jon,
manages Condolodge Condominium Development. Gary has successfully
transitioned from Nuclear Engineer to Real Estate Investor, Developer,
General Contractor and Hotel Owner. I sit on many condominium HOA
boards throughout the county. Gary and I are raising our grandsons,
who provide much joy and excitement to the household. Obviously, the
first retirement "did not take"! We are definitely an
active family. Like everyone, we have experienced many of life's
challenges and so many of life's blessings, and through it all, we know
that God has been, and will always be, completely in charge.

Martha Cabot Vice President of Fundraising/Financials Sebring |
I was born in Keene, New Hampshire,
having one brother and two sisters.
I attended Bates College in Maine and graduated
with a BA in Psychology.
Following school, I entered the work field
and began at a data processing company, which went out of business.
I then worked for Connecticut General Insurance
Company paying group insurance medical claims, a job I really loved.
I like helping people and getting their bills paid
promptly helps when you are ill or injured.
Of course, when they had to show me their stitches
and scars wasn’t as exciting!
The spirit moved me and I moved to Maine where I
worked for Mutual of Omaha again paying medical claims, primarily for
Colby College.
I had an opportunity to move to a company who was
just beginning in the process of computerized claim payments, working with
main frame in Salt Lake City, Utah.
My boss and I then transitioned out of that
company and started the first Preferred Provider Organization in Maine,
where I was VP.
I stayed there until life events
moved me to Florida where I began working for a personal injury lawyer,
again overseeing and tracking client’s medical claims and progress. He retired so I now work for another
attorney doing litigation cases.
Over the years, off and on, I have participated in
various organizations as a volunteer and taken many courses at the local
community college.
I joined the club in Sebring, Florida, and was
immediately elected secretary, then I became president and now I am back
as secretary.
I am passionate about my country and my politics!
God Bless America!

Teri Strong

My full-time job is with Polk County Sheriff’s
Office as a Telecommunicator – more popularly known as a 9-1-1 operator.
I have lived in Florida since 1989 when a new business brought my
family to the Alachua County/Gainesville area. We moved to Polk County in
2001 and have lived in Davenport, Haines City and Lake Wales.
Before my job with Sheriff Judd I owned my own Travel Agency.
Economic times as they are forced the closure of the agency in
December of 2008 when people stopped taking cruises and flying to Europe.
My favorite things to do include reading, being
with my grandchildren, and relaxing at home.
Recently, my reading list included House Bill 3200 – America’s
Affordable Health Care Option Act of 2009 – as well as anything written
by Nora Roberts, Dick Morris, Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly.
I became involved in the Network because I really
do believe that one voice can make a difference.
I have always enjoyed different aspects of the Law and thought that
being Legislative Chair of my local Network Club in Winter Haven would
give me an even better insight into the government.
Being Legislative Chair of our Club led to the State Network level.
I
thank all of you for giving me this fantastic opportunity.
